The Warsaw University of Life Sciences is a modern university of natural sciences, reaching its roots to the Agronomic Institute established in 1816 in Marymont. This institute was established at the initiative of eminent politicians and economic activists, including Stanisław Staszic, in his assumptions, led not only education and research, but also disseminated knowledge. He contributed significantly to the economic and intellectual development of 19th-century Poland.
Following the tradition, our University conducts scientific research both in the broadly understood field of natural sciences as well as in economic, humanistic and technical sciences. SGGW is seeking to expand scientific research and update study programs. University promoting the achievement of science. In order to meet social needs, WULS-SGGW conducts various forms of lifelong learning, including post-graduate studies. The University attaches great importance to cooperation with foreign countries through joint research and education, seeing its special role in cooperation with the countries of the European Union and Eastern Europe. Acting at the local and global level, WULS-SGGW takes special care of the quality of education and thus the high level of graduates.
The university treats people as the greatest of their wealth and cares about good interpersonal relations and intellectual development.
